It is the mission of STEM Center of Excellence, Inc. to create an environment that connects STEMologists to STEM professionals.

The mission of STEM Center of Excellence, Inc. is to design and operate immersive STEM learning environments through our Fibonacci Centers™, a STEM Gym, that equip STEMologists with the skills, experiences, and industry exposure needed to transition into high-demand STEM careers.

We create hands-on,immersive learning experiences across Robotics, Advanced Manufacturing, Biology & Biotechnology, and Cybersecurity/AI that go beyond awareness, building technical competencies, problem-solving ability, critical thinking skills and workforce readiness. Within these environments, students engage directly with STEM professionals, industry partners, and mentors, gaining insight into career pathways while developing industry-aligned skills.

Through intentional partnerships with employers, academic institutions, and ecosystem partners, we bridge the gap between learning and employment, essentially by connecting untapped talent from “Not-Yet-Reached” communities to meaningful opportunities including internships, mentorships, apprenticeships, certifications (IRCs), and careers.

As a partner of the Maryland STEM Education to Employment Ecosystem, STEM Center of Excellence serves as a catalyst within a sustainable STEM ecosystem, where STEMologists are not only introduced to STEM, but are actively prepared, connected, and positioned to become the next generation of STEM professionals.

Our Vision

We envision a Maryland where every community has its own Fibonacci Center™ where students and employers come together to cross the Technology Gap bridge that is separating the STEM workforce from the STEM workplace. Baltimore will be the pilot community and the beginning of Maryland becoming the technology resource hub for America, overflowing with talent previously unreachable; but now possible through the Fibonacci Centers™.

We look to partner with local Industry partners to provide the coaching and mentoring of STEMologists in a mutually beneficial manner through cooperative and collaborative programming in Fibonacci Centers™. From Industry Recognized Certifications that support Maryland’s Apprenticeship program to direct skill building in Cyber Security, Robotics Engineering and Design, to incorporating AI in the development and invention of new ideas, products and concepts, a Fibonacci Center™ in your community will close the gap between Labor and Workforce through access to the “Not-Yet-Reached” of Maryland.

In joint collaboration with community service organizations who have a similar passion to advance STEM education and employment for Pre-K students to young professionals, Fibonacci Centers™ represent the sustainable solution to STEM Workforce.
