Our Mission

It is the mission of STEM Center of Excellence, Inc. to create an environment that connects STEM students to STEM professionals.

We introduce the opportunity to pursue a STEM education to students in an environment that puts the students in direct contact with STEM professionals and supporters. Participating employers have access to students that represent the hidden treasures (STEM GEMS) within the Greater Baltimore area. STEM COE is an important part to the creation of a sustainable STEM ecosystem that connects students to employers and other STEM eco-system partners to educate, support, and hire these future STEM professionals

Our Vision

We envision a Greater Baltimore where every community has its own STEM Gym where students and employers come together to cross the Technology Gap bridge that is separating the STEM workforce from the STEM workplace. By 2028, Greater Baltimore can become a technology resource hub for America, overflowing with talent previously unreachable; the STEM GEMS.

We look to partner with local STEM businesses to provide the coaching and mentoring of the STEM Gems in way that is beneficial to the student and employer simply because of the cooperative and collaborative programming in our STEM Gyms.

In joint collaboration with community service organizations who have a similar passion to advance STEM education and employment for students K-20, we will create a sustainable Greater Baltimore STEM Eco-system.
